I think it made a big difference! I might want to paint the back of the cabinet the wall color... or maybe a bright color... I don't know. :)

your kitchen has turned a 180 for sure! It doesn't look like you have that much countertop - I bet you could use granite remnants. Remnants were $36 sf at the place we used in NWA. I have their nbr if you are ever interested. I love following all your DIY projects :)

I so need to paint bathroom and kitchen cabinets and I know it can be done; however, I don't know how to begin to tackle it. They are solid wood and of good quality, but old and outdated. I thought new hardware might spruce them up but they need paint! Yours are beautiful after you painted...tips, advice, colors? You have done a great job!

Too funny, I did almost the same thing in my living room. I have 2 inch blinds that come with a strip on the top (they call it a valance) which covers up the mechanism that attaches to the inside of the window frame. I created my "Roman Shade" valances by sewing velcro strips to my fabric and gluing the loop side of the velcro to the blind valance. Using hooks on the wall and string and loops sewed on my valances I created my "balloons". Just goes to show you that a little fabric and velcro can add some style.

Looks FAB! Sadly I have no soffit, just open space and I hate junking it up w/ knick knacks, hmm what to do. Also, if you removed the rick rack trim over the sink it would look so current. Yall did a great job.
